baby shower card

I had a great time at Tiana's baby shower today! Of course I had to make a card so I went thru some embellishments in my "stash" and realized I had a left over crawling baby. This was the same baby I made for the "Baby Cakes" for Cecilia's homecoming party back in December. The baby was from Everyday Paper Dolls. I just welded the head onto the body, voila: crawling baby! The baby letters were cut from the Mini Monograms at 1". Needless to say the card was a huge hit (that and the baby carriage using MTME pattern). I thought it would be nice to show this off to the girls at Bitten By The Bug 2, they do such amazing designs over there!

Alcohol Inks

I'm almost done with the Masterz class for the Bind It All. I hope to finish the last 4, yes 4, more projects. I love the on line classes @ www.mycreativeclassroom.com. The classes are posted for quite a long time with both pdf files and videos. Its nice to be able to work at your own pace while learning extraordinary techniques. The latest class I am taking is working with Ranger alcohol inks. These give such interest to all sort of glossy materials. These lanterns I got at Michaels' several years ago but never got around to doing anything with them. Voila, alcohol inks! The fairies I also had for quite a few years and thought hum, citronella candles around the patio table, perfect! I also learned how to "dye" coffee filters and then decided to turn them into flowers for the favor boxes for Cecilia's christening. I couldn't find a pretty paper to match so I used the inks and coffee filters to make my own! I think they turned out really pretty. Three more weeks of classes with the inks and then I think I'll just get busy trying to incorporate what I've learned in these 3 classes to create some really unique projects. The creative juices are flowing, lol!!!

The Famous Lust Bar!!!

I am so lucky to live in the same town where they make Lust bars. They are a wonderful chocolate bar with a creamy peanut butter filling, yum. Anyway, I wanted to send something to my DS and DIL for St. Patrick's Day and also since their 8th Anniversary is March 16th. My Time Made Easy again! I used Lauren's template "Undercover" which is a slider box. Here we go again, a little cardstock, a little glue and a little scrap paper. On the original template I just cut a circle window, backed it with acetate paper. Then cut a circle frame from Nestabilities and "framed" my window. With these templates you can even make a candy bar special, lol. Be sure to check out her on line store to see all of her creations and her design team. They give you so much inspiration!

Kiss Me I'm Irish!

This My Time Made Easy template from Lauren Meader is called In A Pinch. Isn't this just the cutest "box"? I have been putting off downloading this for a while. Why? lol. Look quickly 'cuz these cute little packages are off to Florida in the morning. Inside are neatly wrapped Tee shirts for my grandson and darling grand daughter! You read that right- there are tee shirts inside! Nicks' says Patrick was a saint I ain't and Alexis' says something to the effect of having Italian attitude!! I just know they are going to love them since my daughter-in-law is Irish and my son is mostly Italian. See how easy they are. Just a little cardstock, cheap stamps from M's , ribbon and scrap pieces of paper. These are so easy I can think of tons of projects with this template. Lauren also has digi papers to download and now has stamps that coordinate with the templates and papers. What a no brainer for some one who wants be crafty but doesn't know where to start. Lauren has made it soooo easy!

I'm in love!!!

Ok I admit it. I've been in love with these phenomenal templates from My Time Made Easy (MTME). Rather than wrapping or bagging a gift, Lauren Meader has designed some awesome templates that you can download from your computer and print out , cut, glue and voila you have some incredible paper crafts to present your gift in no matter how small it seems to you. Its all in the presentation and the possibilities are endless! This first template is called Bouncing Baby Buggy. Since I have a baby shower to go to next week and we know it is a girl, this is my take on the "buggy", it holds the baby wash cloths perfectly! I will be making another in blue for my daughter who is expecting her 3rd boy in July. I think she'll need something extra special for this one!!! For more of Lauren's designs I will post a few more for you and you'll see why I love her products.
