Welcome my friends! I hope you all are doing well.We are all shoveled out after a record 30" of snow. Since we did not lose power, it was a piece of cake to weather this Blizzard.
Today I have a very special post to share with you. I have been working with my Copics and found the perfect freebie from Saturated-Canary. This shop has the most incredible digital stamps for coloring. You can see more of her work HERE.

Isn't she just the cutest girl ever? This image is called Hugs and Kisses and I just fell in love with this stamp. Let me start with some basics. First I use X-Press It paper which is a very smooth paper and ideal for coloring with Copics. I print it on my inkjet printer set at best quality. This prints out beautifully. You should always test the paper and ink for compatibility with your alcohol markers. One way to do this is to print out your image and then place an ink mark next to the print line. If the ink does not move or "smudge" your print mark, then you will probably be alright to start your project. If the ink does move your outline then try a different paper first. If that doesn't help then you may want to try using a heat tool to dry your printer ink. Some printers may give you a problem. I use an HP Photosmart and so far have not had a problem.
I will give you a list of the marker colors I used and where at the end of this post. For now I would like to tell you how I finished this off. After I colored my sweetie, I rounded the corners with a corner punch. Of course I had to do some embossing so I used the candy hearts cuttlebug folder. I wanted to soften it a bit so I rubbed some white Colorbox chalk to the top of the embossing. These were then layered onto pattern and solid card stock and onto a white card base.
She looked kind of lonely standing there so I chose to add some flowers with a white heart brad to the center. What would flowers be without some leaves, lol?
There you have it my sweet little girl with her box of hearts. Even though this has a Valentine feel to it, I think it would also make a great birthday, congratulations and even an anniversary card. I will be putting this in my etsy shop so you can check it out in CardsNMore.
I'll be posting again later this week so you will be sure to stop back later! I hope you have a wonderful week.
