Good morning all you wonderful Pinquettes! Mary here with my project for the September Challenge: stamping and journaling. This is our 9th challenge and a really fun one. Since I have twin adults daughters who have birthdays in October, I really have to plan ahead, lol. They love my cards but also love the tags I have been creating.

It is hard to see in the picture but I stamped it first with the phrase, then added an acetate tag overlay. The rose detail was a die cut with my Cricut to which I added some stickles. To finish it off I added an off white 3 Girl Jam ribbon. Did you know Jess carries this gorgeous crinkle ribbon in the Pinque Peacock Shop? You can purchase some HERE.
I plan to slip this tag inside one of these cute little manila envelopes. Yup, they are also available in the SHOP. Take a look around and you'll find the Stickles (glitter glue) there as well.

I plan to add some handmade cards in this recycled cigar box and include the card inside. Can you find the angel stick pin? I purchased the box at Michael's and painted it with black paint then used Beacon's laminate to "paste" the paper in place. I also used some Tim Holtz music tissue tape for a little interest. In my stash I found this metal accent that says "be an original". I find this amusing since, although my daughters are twins, they are both originals! These metal flowers I had just went perfectly.
The angel stick pin is so fitting on this box. Have you tried these yet? They are my all time favorite Pinque Peacock product. They can get some at the Pinque Peacock Shop.

I just had to show you the front of my box. While I try to destash some of my supplies,  I came across a strip of this soutache type braid and this lace bow. All I have left to do is make another box and fill both with cards. It's going to be a busy month!

Frozen Inspired Necklace

Hello fellow craft enthusiasts! Today I have a wonderful project to share with you. But first I have a confession to make. I lost my mojo. Yes, its true. For weeks now I have been trying to come up with something unique. Nothing, nada not even a flicker of an idea. I have been so busy making Elsa and Anna dresses for 18" dolls that my head was struck on FROZEN. I tried to let it go, I really did but, try as hard as I did, I still could not come up with an idea. Sparkle and bling, snow and ice, sparkle and bling oh Mary just let it go.
So I pulled out my remaining supplies from the July Crafty Kit that Jess had sent me. After pouring over the goodies, there it was.... a bottle cap.

At last some inspiration. Why let it go? Not me, so I decided to make a necklace of Elsa and Anna! First I googled an image of Elsa and Anna. Then I sized it in my Sil Cameo and printed it on Square 1 printable vinyl. After cutting it to the size of the bottle cap I added it to the cap and covered it with Mod podge.

Of coarse you need Sparkle so I used some stickles on the edge of the image. Once it was dry I added an epoxy topper but you could also use triple thick or any jewelry coating. I used a piece of 1/8" ribbon and threaded it through the pearl beads with silver spacers. This particular bottle cap did not have a hole in it so I used a metal tool by Ranger. It still needed more sparkle so I thought, what about snow?

Yup, that looks better. I did add a little more glitter while the snow was still wet. All that was left was to add a magnetic clasp. I think I have my mojo back!!!
Be sure to check out the Pinque Peacock shop where you will find all the supplies you need to make one yourself. You can go shopping HERE

Now its your turn. Why not add your Sparkle and Bling creation to our 8th Challenge? You can get the 411 http://pinquepeacockchallenges.blogspot.com/

Good morning and Happy Mothers' Day my pretty Peacock's!  Pinquette Mary here hoping you are all enjoying your special day whether you are a Mother yourself, spending time with your Mom or having fond memories of your Mom in Heaven, either way I hope you have something special planned. Speaking of special, oh my goodness what great projects on this hop. If you just came from Kimberly then you are in the right place! Today I wanted to share with you an with a easy way to preserve those beautiful invitations you receive without ruining them and of course dress it up with beautiful Pinque Peacock supplies.

I knew as soon as Jessica showed us the new products for the hop that Nana's Pillowcase would be my favorite and it is. The colors matched my grand daughters invitation perfectly and includes all the colors. Since chalkboard art is so popular now, my daughter used this invitation to the First Communion. Bold and yet soft enough for the occasion.
In order to preserve all the info that was also included on the back of the card I decided to add a band of card stock, dress it up and tack it down on either side with flower brads. This way I could always remove it without damaging the card.

I just love how soft this flower is and I couldn't believe how perfectly it goes with the card stock I had on hand. I also had some "spare" leaves hanging around and added some lace and this epoxy frame to really draw attention to the fabric Splendid Swirls flower. You can purchase them HERE
Lastly, I needed something to balance off the lower right hand corner so I used a piece of lace for consistancy and I had an embellishment in the Mind's Eye stack I had but it needed something. Of course sparkle...bling... rhinestones... and...Stickles!!

So there you have it a simple yet elegant way to save this wonderful card. It will be fun to look at this in later years. Be sure to hop on over to the ever talented Rebecca and be prepared to be inspired!

Mia's First Communion Card

Good morning my lovelies, Pinquette Mary here with a card using the extremely beautiful Angel stick pin from Pinque Peacock. These happen to be a personal favorite of mine and I can always find a wonderful use for them. Today I used it to make a very special card for my grand daughter. Let's take a look shall we:

That's right Mia will be receiving her First Communion in a few weeks and she loves purple. I also love the Inspired Heart cartridge for my Cricut when I look for anything religious. I cut this at 5 1/2" because I wanted to add some embellishments and details. The card base is 5"x10" so this was a perfect size to use.
The background cardstock is Mercury glass that I picked up @ Christmas but never had a chance to use. It really helps the girl stand out. For the veil I cut a tule circle in 1/8th to make it small enough for the girl. I gathered it up with some invisible thread so the stitching would not show. I also added a small piece of ribbon for the dress tie and finished with some stickles for the dress and sleeves.
I used some pearls to give her a sweet pearl necklace and a few rhinestones to her veil for some bling.
The flower is a mulberry one that I so I just added some glimmer spray to tie it in with the paper and also to show off my stick pin. I just happened to have this beautiful Angel with a purple bead! Usually I also add some 3 Girl Jam ribbon on my cards but this time I really wanted to have the stick pin show off as a focal point.
I didn't want this to be too plain so I used a corner punch for the right hand top and bottom of the card and added some pearls to the Left corner for balance to off set the flower and stick pin.
The saying is a stamp I have had for a while and decided to layer it with a scrap piece of the mercury paper.
Whew! Sometimes a clean and simple card can be a little more time consuming than you think!  I hope you will checkout the products at Pinque Peacock for they truly can make your project super special!

You can purchase these beauties .

Good morning my lovely Pinquettes, Mary here with a beautiful "Love" card using the gorgeous Pink Peacock Splendid Swirl fabric flower and a
beautiful stick pin.
First I started with this beautiful paper. I think it was from a Monet collection and had to find the right project to use it on. I love the sweeping feel of the background and knew it would look even better with some dimension. I used a light pink flock and a mixed color of Flower Soft for some texture.

Then I added some dimension and sparkle . I just followed the line of the flowers and added some waterfall Stickles. This color went perfect with the Splendid Swirl flower.

Finally these fabulous PP embellishments. I love how the stick pin flows with the line of the flowers. It also goes perfectly with the rhinestones on the sticker for the "Love".

I am so proud of this card and think it will be great for Mothers' Day, Wedding, Anniversary, ok so you get the idea! Do you like to add texture or dimension to your projects? ANYTHING GOES
Now, onto my project today . . . .

Good morning my sweet friends and Pinquettes. I am so excited to be part of this fabulous event. In case you just stumbled upon my blog please let me explain what all the excitement is about. Jess from the Pinque Peacock and Stacey and Kendra from Sweet Stamps offered products from their companies to the members of both Design Teams for us to create some fabulous projects for you. We have busy creating with all our goodies and boy are we having fun!
The Sweet Stamp products I chose to use were: Wedding Swans and "with love" rubber stamps and also some gray ink spot. The detail on these stamps is fantastic and a great image to color with my copics. The Pinque Peacock products were: a large button from the May Release and a beautiful angel stick pin from the June release. I also used some 3girl jam ribbon that you can also get @ Pinque Peacock shop on FB. Just to get some business out of the way I have provide links to their shops below:

Since we had a wedding to go to in May, I thought for my project I would use the Wedding Swans Stamp. Here is what I came up with:
First I stamped the image with Momento Marker in Sweet Plum Ink because I wanted the colored image to stand out rather than a black outline. I used several Copic techniques to color my design. I have included the supply list of the copics below this post for you all to experiment with.

I started with a piece of grey card stock that has a sheen to it. I used the Spellbinders classic scalloped circles-large to make an aperture in a 5"x7" card. I also cut a piece the same size out of pink card stock. This gave me my placement for the image. In order to make sure it lines up perfectly, I add a glue dot to the back of the circle and carefully lower into the opening. Once I know that it is centered correctly I can then use my Xyron tape to hold it all in place.
Voila, perfectly centered! After I carefully colored my image I added some stickles to the flowers and to make the water glisten. I also used some gold Liquid Pearls for the wedding rings. Notice the slight blush to the swans cheeks. They look like blushing love birds, lol.

I just love the colors in this button and how it picks up all the colors I used in the stamped image. No matter what Pinque Peacock products I use, they always bring out the best in my work. Of course I had to add an angel stick pin. Believe me when I say that the pictures do not do these justice, they are so beautiful in person. I finished this card off by adding the sentiment with a Spellbinders deckled rectangle cut piece of card stock and Sweet Stamps "with love" sentiment. Since I layered this on a piece of glittered card stock
(we all know how hard it is to adhere anything to it, lol) I used some small heart brads to hold it all together. The look was completed with some 3GirlJam ribbon from the pink and white bundle.
I find sometimes when you make this type of card that it is hard to be able to add money or a gift card inside. You know I'm right, lol. So this is what I came up with:
Yup, I added a small glassine envelope inside! This allowed us to add $$$ to the inside, still have room to write and add an element of surprise when they opened the card.
I hope you have enjoyed my card and please be sure to check out the members on both Design Teams as well as visit the shops of these fabulous companies. Below you will find the copics that I used. Have a wonderful day!!!!!

Altered Box

Good morning my fellow Divas! I'm Diva Mary and I am so happy to show you a neat project as a member of the Cricut Divas DT . Today I am going to show you what I did with an old box a wallet came in and how my Cricut helped me perform some magic. For this project I used my original and trusty Expression as well as the flower Shoppe and
Graphically speaking cartridges. Let's take a look shall we: ???????????????????????????????
First I started with an empty box. I pulled out some scrap card stock and was lucky enough to find one that matched perfectly. I even had some pieces to make the flowers! These were cut @ 1" from the image on page 14 in Flower Shoppe. I cut all the layers in the handbook. I inked the edges and then spritzed them with some glimmer mist. here's a tip just in case you don't already know this. When making paper flowers it is best to ink first then mist. If you use the glimmer mist first, then the ink, the glimmer will get on your ink pad and that is not good for future projects. Just a little FYI.

After some ink and glimmer mist the flowers were shaped. I already had some mulberry printed leaves so, a little perfect pearls helped to add some shimmer. The rhinestone is by Crystal It. These are so gorgeous in person.
???????????????????????????????
I cut the butterfly and layer @ 1.25" and the phrase @ 1.50". These images are both found on page 57 in Graphically Speaking. You'll notice that part of the base layer on the butterfly is missing. I used the center point feature on my E but didn't set the blade in the right spot. I was not worried since the top layer would cover it. I added some Black Diamond Stickles to the top layer.  Here's the finished project:
???????????????????????????????
I also added some ribbon to the edge of the cover to really tie it all together: A few black pearls in the corners added the finishing touch.
???????????????????????????????
I used this box to give a few gift cards to my daughter for her birthday. Needless to say she loved it! I have some more info about this project on my blog: http://Mary-fortheloveofart.blogspot.com

Happy Birthday Amy!

Pinque Peacock
Hello Pinquettes! I think that Summer is upon us (at least it feels that way, lol). I have a very simple Birthday card to share with you today and, of course, it has a beautiful Pinque Peacock flower from the May release. Wait 'til you see what the June release has in store for you. The ever talented Jess has truly out done herself!
There I go again, changing the subject as usual! The card I made today is for my oldest daughter Amy (her birthday was yesterday). She loves the look of the Kraft card stock and not a lot of frills, more of a country look so that is what I went with. Ready to take a look?

Look how gorgeous this flower is!!! Luckily I had some scrap paper that matched it perfectly. Since she has 3 children I had to add a little whimsical touch thus the Peachy Keen flower and smiley face stamps. The exct sets I used were PK-273 for faceless flowers and PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Faces for the happy smile.
I used Momento Ink Markers in Dandelion and Lilac Posies which matches the colors on the fabric flowers perfectly. Of course I had to add a little sparkle so I used some gold stickles for where the sun was shining and some Pumpkin liquid pearls for the center of the flower. I also used a Pink By Design sentiment stamp ( age is only a #) for the Happy Birthday. My daughter loves this font so it is just the perfect touch to complete this card.

I was lucky enough to have some sheer ribbon and rhinestones in the same color palette. I was really pleased with how this came out.
You can find these beautiful flowers as well as a large selection of stick pins, beads and multiple styles of flowers over at the Pinque Peacock Shop HERE . Can't find what you are looking for? Just ask Jessica. She is so easy to work with and loves to do custom orders.
Don't forget about our new June Release:
We are also excited to let you know that we are partnering with Sweet Stamps. We will be doing cross posts using both their products and of course Pinque Peacock products on a project and their DT will be doing the same. How fun is that? Get ready for some inspiration, here are the details:
