The Egg Hunt!

I've been busy creating Easter cards for the grandkids and thought I would incorporate them into a few challenges as well! First up the color throw down group asked you to use a robin's egg blue, garden green and certainly celery and off white if possible This was for CTD85. Ok I can do that. Next, the girls @ Cuttlebug Challenges asked for an Easter project #76. Of course you needed to use the cuttlebug to emboss and any stamp you choose. I can do that too. I'm exploring the "A Child's Year" cartridge by Provocraft so scanned through it to find an Easter image. I thought the boy and girl separate images of gathering eggs in their basket was great so I at least have a start!
Since I have been taking classes at My Creative Classroom, I thought I would include my newly learned resist technique. I used some matte cardstock, Studio G image of the Easter egg and Ranger inks, 2 shades of green and one of blue with a drop of pearl, Stazon embossing ink and white opaque embossing powder. What a stunning combo for Easter eggs! Notice how great the embossing shows up, I love this technique, its like magic!!! After cutting out the Girl in both shadow and patterned paper @ 3" I used the new folder from the Asian cuttlebug folders for the basket weave on the basket and a flower embossed background behind the girl. I also am loving the Spellbinders scalloped ovals, they added the perfect touch to cut out my Eggs from my resist paper. A little ribbon, rhinestone and a few accents with the copic markers and my card is complete. Now I have to make 2 more girls and 4 boys and I'm done, piece of cake!!!
