Back to creating!!
I can't work under these conditions, yikes!! So today I am challenging myself to only use the supplies laid out all around me. I will make whatever comes to mind, not over think my design, just Do It! I also have several new cartridges so maybe its time to put these carts through the paces, wish me luck!
Today is a better day. I recently had vein surgery and the fatigue and nausea were slowing me down, not good! Today after a nice shower things are so much better.
Since I have to lay low for a week its a great time to catch up on some challenges and projects. I just had to play with my new stamps from MSE and Peachy Keen Stamps. I have opened my Etsy store and REALLY need to add some variety so this Anniversary card popped in my head.
As I have said before I love making these easel cards. The sketch came from the Just Us Girls ( JUGS)
and its JUGS 40. I used all sorts of scrap papers I had hanging around. Don't ya just love when that happens! The smiling face was from the Peachy Keen Stamps and the rest are from MSE including the sentiments. I colored the face with Peebles chalks and the details on the face were done with Creative Memory markers. I also dragged out my Nestabilities to do the scalloped circle around the face and a Fiskar border punch. I just love this ribbon. Believe it or not I've had it for several years and I still have some left. I also added a few flower brads to tie in all the colors.
Saturday morning I received my package from the UK. This set is just too cute! I'll be making some cute projects for sure, Also Viv included the winking face, you are my sunshine and, drum roll please the Princess Face Assortment!!!
I feel so honored to receive these and better get crafting so I can show you just how adorable this set is!
What a week!I received my prize for the contest
at My Sentiments Exactly using the pear stamp. I love the gown one I can see using not just for bridal showers but also for prom layouts! I also always can use sentiments, Holiday and nature stamps. I can't wait to use these! Thanks Adrienne for this beautiful collection!
First of all I hope you are all having a great Fourth of July. We're just chillin' ! Since it's too hot to do anything else, I decided to finish up some projects.
Crazy For Challenges http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com/2010/07/crazy4challenges-c4c44.html this week requested you use 2 ribbons on your project. Since I had an idea for this easel card I thought all it needs is some ribbon and I'll have another project done.
I love these easel cards because they are so nice to display. The bikini was from "Lifes A Beach"and I used a prism card stock and cut the cute little bikini @ 2".
The background is embossed with the paisley folder and I added faux stitching with a hot pink gel pen. The
