Chicken Soup To Get Well

Welcome all my new crafty friends! I am so glad you stopped by. Today I am going to show you a quick Get Well card using The Greeting Cards Inside Out for the Imagine. I love all the great images on this cartridge and love using my Imagine. I also used the Elegant Edges cart as well as the paper palettes from Mystical Garden  and Santas Village cartridges to make this card. So lets get started.
The chicken image is on page 19 on the Greetings cart and is cut @ 2.25". Next I used the spoon image that you can find in From My Kitchen on page 43 @1.25". I used a gold metallic paper for the spoon to make it stand out. Now to work on the background.
I wanted a real rustic look for this card so the image would really show up so I decided to use the pattern paper from the Imagine cart Mystical Gardens found on page 4. I love this gold paper because it reminds me of chicken wire. I used the Elegant Edges shape on page 34 oblong shadow cut @ 4.75" to create the background shape. The frame was also from EE found on page 35 @ 4.54". I found the brown palette on Santas Village Imagine cart worked wonderful with these papers.
After some inking with Walnut stain and Gathered Twigs distress inks, it was time to put it all together. My base card was from My Minds Eye-Out and About cards so all I had left to do was adhere the base and frame to the card, add some pop dots to the image and some brown bakers twine. I also had a chance to use some Candi "brads". These little embellishments are so neat. Believe it or not they are made from paper! They are light weight so are easy to mail and, unlike real brads, they are adhered with pop dots. Look for more projects with these little "gems". If you like to purchase some, you can find them in Erica's store; http://www.shop.ericascraftroom.com/
