Hello ladies!!! I am so delighted to be here as a Guest Designer for Craftin' Desert Divas!Thank you Tara for having me. I love the fact that the theme is "On the farm" and that we had free reign to create whatever we wanted using whatever we have for supplies. That always makes it easy when trying to create. This theme gave me the chance to do a scrapbook page I have been putting off for a while. (I bet none of you ever do that, lol).
First I had to find where I put the pics on my computer, then printed out a few. Now I had to figure out what embellishments to use. Oh heck, here is what I came up with:

I started with 2 pieces of 6"x12" Provo Craft paper. The background reminded me of the wire pen that holds the goats.I adhered these to a piece of plain brown card stock for durability. After trimming the pics I mounted them on black card stock and did a little faux stitching with a white gel pen. I can't believe how much it made the pics pop! Next up: embellishments
.

Aren't these goats adorable? I cut them @ 2.5" from Animal Kingdom. The image can be found on page 27 button #5. I cut all the layers i.e. basic, black out and shadow. I love to leave the images on the mat and do my inking before I remove the excess paper around the image , I also used some distress markers to color in the hooves and to do the goatee.
I used a flour sack to use as a journal tag. This is from Paper doll Dress Up on page 46. I used some scattered straw ink for the edges and to give a little definition. For a more realistic view, I tied some twine on the edges for the corners.
I loved the pic of my grand daughter Alexis on the tire swing so I had to add some tires to my lay out. They are from the Pixar Cars cartridge and I cut them @ 1.5". I added some white gel pen for the treads and hung them with some twine before gluing it under the pic.
After taking a second look I decided to do some black faux stitching around the entire lay out. The "Fun" and "Trip" embellishments were something I had in my stash and fit perfectly in the tire opening.

Hope you will Craft It Up & Link It Up!!!
