      How are all you Pinquettes doing this Holiday season? Is your shopping done? Have you started decorating yet? How about all that baking? Okay who has made at least made their their Christmas cards? Boy this can be such a stressful time especially if you through in 6 (yes I said 6!!!!) Birthdays into the mix. We have 2 grandsons who turn 7 with only 6 days between them, a grand daughter who turns 4 right after Christmas, 2 sons with birthdays on the 19th and 22nd and my son's girl friend on the 31st. It sure can get overwhelming to say the least.
     Last time we met I showed you a tag I made as a Thank you for Thanksgiving. I decided that since the boys really don't care about cards I would do the same thing (they usually rip the envelopes off anyways, lol). So here is what I came up with:

     Quick and easy! I really try to stay away from the Christmas colors and go with a winter theme so they can feel like their Birthday is a special day and not just lost in the season. Nick's is the first of the celebrations starting Dec. 7. I created this tag pretty much like the  Thank You tag I did HERE. This time I used the wonderful Snowman swirl fabric flower.

     I have been making these Snowman Soup packets for several years now. I found all the info online line. You can find the Headers HERE There are several different free printables of these headers just be sure to scroll down.

          Ben's is on December 13th and I am making these hot chocolate bags as favors for the kids at the party. Of course I will send one to Nick in Florida!!!! I love these fabric covered buttons. They are not only so versatile for so many projects but practical as well. I stapled the header to the bag but wanted to cover it so I used a button as camouflage!

Here is the recipe for the "soup":

Ingredients
  • 1 individual packet hot chocolate mix
  • 2-3 chocolate kiss candies
  • 10-15 mini-marshmallows
  • small candy cane
  • treat bag or zipper food storage bag
  • plastic wrap or small zipper storage bag
Instructions
Place mini-marshmallows in small zipper storage bag, or wrap in plastic wrap.
Tuck hot chocolate packet into treat bag. Add marshmallows, chocolate kiss candies, and candy cane.
Seal bag or close with twist tie. Holiday hint: glitzy chenille stems make pretty, decorative bag closures. Curl stem ends around a finger or a wooden spoon to create a curly closure!
Add a printable gift tag or bag topper, or attach hand-written tag using the Snowman Soup poem below.
Snowman Soup
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little Snowman Soup
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water, sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!

     You really have to shop at the Pinque Peacock and check out all the great products there and if you don't see what you are looking for just ask. Jess is great to work with.

Giving Thanks To All Of You

Pinque Peacock

      Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to you all ! I realize that my friends from other countries may not be familiar with this American holiday but those of us here in the U.S. sure do love this holiday. It is suppose to be a day of being thankful. You see when our ancestors settled here they had no idea of how many hardships they would face in this new land. If it hadn't been for the Native Americans they would never have survived the harsh winters we sometime have in the northeast. At the end of harvest season they gathered together to enjoy the fruits of their labor.
     Since my youngest son and his wonderful girl friend are hosting Turkey Day in their new home, I thought I would make a quick tag to include on a gift I have for them. Let's take a look:

      This is such a quick and easy tag and I love the stick pin from an earlier release as well as the wonderful gingham swirl flower from this months release. The PP products just make anything you create extra special!
     Be sure to add some of these great products to to your Christmas shopping list. You can shop HERE
     First I started with a plain manila shipping tag. I decided to use my distress it all to add a little distressing before I used some inks around the edge. Next I added a strip of scrap paper to the center (yup that's paper I love how it looks like fabric!).

     I had some yellow fabric flowers leftover from another project and thought this would look great to use with the gingham swirl flower. Now I was on a roll!!! I pulled out some mulberry leaves I had and loved how they looked but it was still missing something. Hmmm what about a stick pin?

     Yup, that did the trick! I love when that happens. Now all I did was to use my label maker and added the Thank You. This is a great way to add dimension! There you have it, a quick and easy thank you tag!

     Fortunately for all of you the Pinque Peacock shop is online and ALWAYS open. So while you are waiting for your guests to arrive you can get your shopping all done, lol.
     I truly wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving. What am I thankful for? Well of course all of you. Thank you for stopping by and hope you will also follow my Blog where I will give you more details on "how she'd do that???"

     Hellooooo my crafty friends! Pinquette Mary here to show you my Holiday project using the fabulous Pinque Peacock Fabric buttons. If you just came from Jessie then you are in the right place. If not then you want to start with the head Peacock HERE.With the holidays bearing down on us, I don't know about you but I always feel somewhat embarrassed whenever someone stops buy and I don't have a gift for them. That doesn't happen any more not when you have a supply of gift card holders and some PP embellishments on hand!

     This is so easy to make. I save my toilet paper rolls and just cover them with any scrap paper I have on hand. Be sure to cut your paper 1/2" larger than the height of the tp roll. This finishes off the top edge nicely.
     I use my Bind It All to punch holes in the bottom edge and then weave some cording to close it. After adding a small bell I had on hand I pulled out a fabric button from this month's holiday release and Voila a simple yet thoughtful presentation ready for a gift card, candy, $$$ or even lip gloss. The ideas are endless! I also used an eyelet to add some cording for the "handle". Your Christmas tree would look so festive filled with these beauties! Can you picture a bunch of these  adorned with Elegant Florals for a Victorian look?
     I truly hope you will try these and keep a stack on hand. Of course you will have to stock up on supplies @ Pinque Peacock Shop.

     Good Morning my pretty little peacocks. Pinquette Mary here to not only show my support for Breast Cancer Awareness month but to also show you some fabulous products from Pinque Peacock Shop. Boy is time just flying by!!!
     A while back I was able to snag a wonderful digi from the Saturated Canary called "boobie love". These are the cutest images to color! You can find more of her images HERE. Even though I colored it a while ago I was just waiting for the perfect embellishments and, of course, PP products filled the missing piece.
      I started with a 5" x7" printed card stock and layered scrap pieces of card stock to match my Copic colors. The 2 main layers are cut with spellbinders large rectangles. I love to use X-Press It paper to do my coloring as it blends so well with Copic markers. This image was so much fun to color and I love the flower in her hair.    Isn't she so cute?
3 Girl Jam Ribbon

      I love how the 3 Girl Jam ribbon just adds the perfect feminine touch. The fabric covered button was one I received a while ago and was just the perfect finishing touch. I had to add a little bling so I used some Stickles to create some small dots. Sorry I don't have my Copic colors that I used (it's been a while, lol).
Pinque Peacock fabric Buttons

     Now be sure to head on over to the Pinque Peacock Shop HERE. You can find the most beautiful fabric buttons as well as gorgeous fabric flowers, stick pins, beads etc.
     Are you looking for some great deals on crafting supplies? How about the 3 Girls Jam ribbon used here? Well you can find them all HERE.

Nashville Hardrock Cafe-Yee Haw!

Pinque Peacock
     Hi everyone I am back!!! I hope you all had a chance to join our  A Pirate's Life Hop this past weekend. I am so blessed to be on such a talented Design Team with such creative people. Jessica is so generous with us and today I am going to show you what you can do with one of her fabulous fabric covered buttons.
 Photo: Quirky Queen Peacock wants to know . . . . .
What would you create if you won some of this "Pirate Booty"?
     My hubby and I were fortunate enough to go to a convention in Nashville Tennessee this past August and one of the places the company booked for our last night was on the waterfront . We went to BB King's, the Waterfront Saloon and the Hardrock Cafe. Since my husband will be retiring really soon we have been racking our brains as to what he should do in his retirement. I am always busy but he needs to have a Hobby. It finally dawned on him while we were eating....he should take up the guitar. I agree as long as it is acoustical, lol. So I decided to scrap at least this stop on our itinerary keeping in mind his future goal.

     As you can see we were surrounded by Guitars. Actually the company gave away a Kenny Chesney guitar (no Fran did not win!).
     After I had glued my pics down I had this brainstorm to add guitar strings but they didn't show up too well so I used some metallic cording instead and used this fabulous button to hold them all together. The other embellishments are from me & my Big ideas. I am so glad I hold onto my scraps. The yellow/gold cardstock was left over from some flowers I made for a custom order this Summer. Quick and easy!!!!

      That's all I have to show you today. I hope you gained a few inspirations today and that you will visit the Superb, spectacular, and ever popular Pinque Peacock Shop.
     Hope you have a great week!!!!!

Small Black Neon Snakeskin Fabric Covered Buttons

Pinque Peacock is PROUD to INTRODUCE A NEW PRODUCT that is
in the works at the Shop

FABRIC DIE CUT EMBELLISHMENTS

Fabric Die Cut Shapes with a Stiff Card Stock Backing to use
on your CRAFTY PROJECTS!

     Aren't these the cutest embellishments? When Jessica sent me my DT pack I was so thrilled to have my hands on these new fabric dies. I had taken the month of August off  from the Pinque Peacock Design Team and it was a good thing I did. After a long and event filled Summer it was time to start on some Fall  projects. Among other things I make clothing for 18" dolls so this was perfect to add to her outfit. Next on the Runway is Mary in her Pirate themed outfit:

     This fabric embellishment is so easy to work with and the possibilities are endless. See they are not only for cards or scrapbooks but also for cute clothing add-ons.

     Here's what I did to make it work for for T-shirt material: first I removed the cardstock backing. I used the black as a template for cutting fusible interfacing to the back of the white polka dot fabric. After I  ironed it in place I did a quick zigzag around the edge. I have a brand new sewing machine that I am still working on mastering the sizes! (I am getting there, lo). Now it was time to dress her up.

     I used some i-Rock metallics for the eyes and nose and a cute little hair bow. I am sure if you were using this for a child's shirt Jessica would be able to do these without the cardstock backing. These would be adorable with a fabric glitter glue around the edge if you do not sew. How awesome for a quick craft for your next Pirate themed party! T-shirts, embellishments, Glitter glue and bling=successful Party.

     Well that's it for my project. I hope I have helped you get those creative ideas flowing using Pinque Peacock.new Fabric embellishments.
     If you are interested in purchasing this outfit you can view it HERE

After hopping, be sure to visit the Pinque Peacock Shop on FB to order these items (and many others) to use on your very own projects!

Snow White Layout

~~~~ Click HERE for the 300 Blog Follower Giveaway ~~~~
Hello to all of our Pretty Little Peacocks
Welcome to Pinque Peacock’s
JULY New Release
"When You Wish Upon A Star"
BLOG HOP Day #1
WELCOME TO DAY #1 OF OUR BLOG HOP...
     Good Morning Pinquettes! Mary here and welcome to everyone's favorite theme Disney!!! If you have come from Shelley's  then you are in the right spot.If not then you want to start at the beginning HERE.
     Are you ready to see my project? We have been to Disney World many times so it is about time I scrap some of these pictures. The beautiful swirl flowers Jess sent me fit perfectly in this layout. So, here we go:
        This is probably one of the quickest layouts I have ever done. I just grabbed my pics and used the scalloped circle spellbinders and used them to cut the pictures and the layers of matting. I used a scrap piece of ribbon that was hanging around on my craft table (I never throw anything out, lol). This was a great way to to connect the 2 photos. Let's take a look at the Pinque Peacock Splendid Swirl flower and how I used it on this layout:
     Isn't this beautiful? I had a premade set of Snow White from Michaels and it had some cute jewels so I just stuck one in the center of the flower. Love the look of this. I also used one of the cute fabric covered buttons for the opposite side of the layout.
     This was perfect so show Alexis love of the Princesses. Again I used some of the premades to scatter the flowers throughout the layout. To finish it all off I did some doodling around the edges and also some "grass" under Snow White so she had something to stand on!
     I am committed to using up supplies I already have so these rhinestone pieces were the first thing that came to mind with this layout. I also used a metal frame rather than a journal tag to complete the project.
     Although I have showed you how I used the Pinque Peacock supplies for this Disney layout, I hope you can see how useful they are no matter what project you are creating.
     Now its time to hop on over to Kimberly's and see what she has to wow you with!!!!
We hope you have enjoyed your time as you have hopped with us these past three days and that you feel
Touch A Truck LayOut
Cover Photo
     Welcome Ladies! I hope you all had a great 4th of July. Boy it sure is hot out! We jumped from a cold winter to a wet cold spring and now the heat is baking us, geez. If you just came from Pinque Peacock's Blog then you know I have a surprise element to share but, you'll have to wait 'til the last pic, lol.
     In honor of the Fourth I am doing a Red, White and Blue theme and these pics are fabulous to share with you. Our town recently had a fund raise and it was called Touch A Truck. The entrance fee was $5 or a maximum of $20/family. They had all kinds of trucks: fire engines, ambulances, garbage trucks, bulldozers, steam shovels, a police cruiser and even the portable dog grooming van! The children were allowed to climb in and really take a look, blast the sirens and turn on the lights. One of the trucks was a cement mixer and, since their grandfather works for the company, they just had to take a peek.
     What caught my eye was the graphics on the cement mixer "We Support Our Troops". I love when a company shows their Patriotism and also that this is year round, all the time, no matter what the job. I knew some how I would have to do my Patriotic duty and share it with you as well. What better time than our celebration of Freedom. Isn't this Pinque Peacock Layered Garden Beauty flower the best on this layout?
     I happened to be @ Michaels looking for any stickers or embellishments with trucks when I spotted this rubber stamp. I thought this was perfect for this layout since we all took the time to enjoy this day. There was one problem. When I inked it some of the white pigment plopped itself where I did not want it to be. I really did not want to stamp another so I decided to go with the flow. I went with the stars that were on the truck and used some acryllic stars I had knowing that my PP button would be the highlight. It sure is!!!
     So I thought ok, this is not completely Patriotic but why not add some stripes with washi tape?Now I wanted to fill some blank space in the upper left hand corner so I used a Cuttlebug folder with stars. I used Don Juan for the font cut @ 1" shadow feature. I cut one set with white and one with blue and offset them when I glued them down.Are you ready for the whole layout?
      Look at those cuties driving the truck! Needless to say the kids had a blast (and so did we). Wait, I'm missing something!!! Remember I went to Michaels looking for some sort of truck embellishment? Well, I should have checked with Jessica @ Pinque Peacock first. Guess what she is working on....
     Yup, truck buttons! She even did a cement mixer one for me. You can find a collection of truck covered buttons in the "Dig This" section. NOW my layout is complete. So here is a tip for you: if you need something special for the perfect touch on your project check with The Pinque Peacock Store FIRST!!!!!! You can find the link HERE.
     Today is also the last day of the 700 FB Fans Sale so be sure to hop on over now.
     Also, don't forget to Hop with us for everything Disney:
     I hope you have a great week and stay cool out there.
