Happy Birthday Amy!

Pinque Peacock
Hello Pinquettes! I think that Summer is upon us (at least it feels that way, lol). I have a very simple Birthday card to share with you today and, of course, it has a beautiful Pinque Peacock flower from the May release. Wait 'til you see what the June release has in store for you. The ever talented Jess has truly out done herself!
There I go again, changing the subject as usual! The card I made today is for my oldest daughter Amy (her birthday was yesterday). She loves the look of the Kraft card stock and not a lot of frills, more of a country look so that is what I went with. Ready to take a look?

Look how gorgeous this flower is!!! Luckily I had some scrap paper that matched it perfectly. Since she has 3 children I had to add a little whimsical touch thus the Peachy Keen flower and smiley face stamps. The exct sets I used were PK-273 for faceless flowers and PK-570 Basic Paper Doll Faces for the happy smile.
I used Momento Ink Markers in Dandelion and Lilac Posies which matches the colors on the fabric flowers perfectly. Of course I had to add a little sparkle so I used some gold stickles for where the sun was shining and some Pumpkin liquid pearls for the center of the flower. I also used a Pink By Design sentiment stamp ( age is only a #) for the Happy Birthday. My daughter loves this font so it is just the perfect touch to complete this card.

I was lucky enough to have some sheer ribbon and rhinestones in the same color palette. I was really pleased with how this came out.
You can find these beautiful flowers as well as a large selection of stick pins, beads and multiple styles of flowers over at the Pinque Peacock Shop HERE . Can't find what you are looking for? Just ask Jessica. She is so easy to work with and loves to do custom orders.

Monkey Baby Card

Hello my crafty friends. Is everyone ready for the big upcoming events this week? Vacation here I come.
Well since it is Hump day that means it is time of WYEGW and I have a fun project to share. Just in case you are clueless, that means we are only allowed to use the feature keys located on the left side of your handbook. We cannot use the main images. This is a great way to explore all the potential your carts have to offer.
For my project I used Paisley to create this adorable monkey card. My nephew and his wife are expecting a baby girl in July and the nursery has a jungle theme. Let me show you the card and then we will get to the details.
Isn't she just adorable? The cardstock is DCWV Nana's Nursery. This monkey image is found on page 31 and I cut it @ 4.25". I also used the tag feature @ 4.25" and it gave me the perfect monkey to layer on the card.
As you can see I cut the image 3 times. I did this so I could layer it and add some dimension. Before I removed them from the mat, I inked the edges with Gathered Twigs distress ink. I had won these Peachy keen princess face stamps a while ago and I found them the perfect size for this image.
I cut a piece of matching card stock for the inside before I adhered my monkeys. I love how this monkey looks like it is dancing so I found this frame I had and decided it would add some interest so I glued this on before I did my monkey.
This saying from K. Andrews Splash-tastic  Summer, was a gift from Erica and it seemed perfect for this card however it should say "stomping", lol. I gave this little miss an ankle bracelet of liquid pearls and a cute lace skirt. Since I have vowed to use as many of my scrap pieces this year, I used  a leftover bouquet of these little lavendar flowers to give her a flower arch.
Since I didn't use the cut out from the card on the outside of my card, I used it instead on the inside. I know, I know, I'm just so clever, lol. As you can see, this is a tab card so you could include a gift card inside.
You are able to purchase these products and so many more at Erica's Store. She has an amazing inventory and her prices are so reasonable.
I hope you all have all your preparations done for the 4th but now it's time to see what my Design Sisters have to inspire you so head back over to Erica's Blog: http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com/

Little Dancer The Sequel

First of all, how do you like the new look? My blog template is from Shabbyblogs.com and they just changed servers so I had to update for a new code. I just love their designs!
As I mentioned in my previous article I thought the ballet card would make a cute mini album for holding all those dance pictures. (Well some of them anyway, lol).So that's just what I've been up to. Provo Craft has an exclusive cartridge called "Shall We Dance". There are some pros and cons to this cart. First the pros: there are a ton of dance images for all forms of dance as well as for the very young and older dancers. It also has phrases including shadows so this is a definite plus. The cons: some of the cuts are just plain awful. Basically the faces and the shoes. The shoes remind me of the hooves on the 3 little pigs! Sorry PC but they really are that bad.
See what I mean about the shoes!
So I got to thinking, what if I used the hide cut feature on my gypsy and blanked out the facial features? Then I could stamp the facial images.  Peachy Keen Stamps has some adorable expressions on their princesses stamps. The shoes could also be colored in.

All Dolled Up!

Isn't she just adorable! Meet Vivienne the stamp set I won from a recent blog hop. I now have 3 grand daughters and the older 2 (6 yrs and almost 4 yrs) love to have Mema (up that's me, lol)  french braid their hair, so I thought I'd make a cute "purse" to hold the supplies.
I have been wanting to try this stamp set so when Color Throw Down 100 had a challenge ( celebrating their 100th challenge let's hear a loud cheer!!!!) using blue, green, pink and real red I thought here comes Vivienne!
The bag is from TBBM and is cut to fit page. I think the paper was from K&Company ( I went thru so many stacks I can't remember which one I used, lol)

Jugs # 40

Today is a better day. I recently had vein surgery and the fatigue and nausea were slowing me down, not good! Today after a nice shower things are so much better.
Since I have to lay low for a week its a great time to catch up on some challenges and projects. I just had to play with my new stamps from MSE and Peachy Keen Stamps. I have opened my Etsy store and REALLY need to add some variety so this Anniversary card popped in my head.
As I have said before I love making these easel cards. The sketch came from the Just Us Girls ( JUGS)
and its JUGS 40. I used all sorts of scrap papers I had hanging around. Don't ya just love when that happens! The smiling face was from the Peachy Keen Stamps and the rest are from MSE including the sentiments. I colored the face with Peebles chalks and the details on the face were done with Creative Memory markers. I also dragged out my Nestabilities to do the scalloped circle around the face and a Fiskar border punch. I just love this ribbon. Believe it or not I've had it for several years and I still have some left. I also added a few flower brads to tie in all the colors.
