Mom's Cane

Hi all I'm back again, did you miss me, lol! I've been pretty busy with a lot of family stuff however I am never too busy that I can't sneak a craft project or two in. Mom's doing better with her pneumonia and is anxious to get back home. In the meantime she is in a lovely rehab center until the end of next week. Although she is not too happy about staying longer I must admit I am some what relieved since this has been the perfect time to go into her small apartment and do some much needed cleaning and reorganization for her. Unfortunately she has been declared legally blind and at 86 years old having been a voracious reader this is pretty tough for her.
Anyways, while she is in the rehab all her belongings have to be labelled including her cane! She loves her cane (she thinks it's just so stylish and unique) so I had to come up with something to compliment the herringbone pattern.
I figured vinyl would be the way to go and I had black for the shadow and gold for the overly. I decided it called for an elegant font so I used the Sophisticated cartridge designed by Teresa Collins and my trusty cricut. Everything was cut @ 1". I did layer the gold letters on top of the black shadow cut before I burnished it on the cane. Pretty clever huh?
      Looking good Mom!
She will be going home with oxygen so I'll have to come up with something to cover the tank that is equally stylish. We have a wedding to go to in a few weeks so I'll have to work on that. Thanks for stopping by, Hugs.

Mary, that's some snazzy cane you did for your mom!!! And she looks great!!!!

Speaking from recent experience, don't overdo yourself with anything if you can help it! Take your time and take care with everything that needs doing!

Thanks my friend for checking in on me always and being such a dear friend!

Hugs!
