Good morning my fellow Pinquettes, Pinquette Mary here as a Guest Designer with a very special card to share with you today and of course I have a wonderful way to embellish a card with the Angel Stick pin from Pinque Peacock.
We have some Anniversaries as well as Birthdays coming up in the next few months so I thought I'd get a head start. Our oldest son and his wife will be celebrating their 12th Anniversary this year so I thought I better make them a card. This year I am bound and determined to make something beautiful challenging myself to use just scraps and supplies that are just hanging around. Here is where I started:

First, I had a few blank cards I had cut a long time ago with a cut file from Diane Payne Campbell aka Capadiadesigns.com. She is a genius at making her own cut backgrounds. I also found a scrap cardstock, stickers and an Angel Stick pin.  I love this quote since it seems so appropriate after you have been married for a number of years. I didn't want anything too mushy just a reminder of where they were 12 years ago and not to lose those feelings. I also love these colors. She is from Ireland and they got married March 16th the day before St Patrick's Day so I try to avoid green, lol. This is what I created:

Okay so I found another piece of scrap paper that matched the velum quote perfectly. I also had this great epoxy sticker that also went beautifully. I know they are going to love this.
I have one fabulous memory of their Wedding day. My son is 6'2" and my DIL is 4"11". No matter how tall the shoes are that she wears she still does not come close to his height! Anyways, at the reception and before we were all introduced I heard my son calling my DIL Mrs. Marshmallow??? He would not stop and we couldn't figure out where he got this name. When I asked him, he turned to her and said "Mrs. Marshmallow, show them, at which point in her very puffy Wedding dress she proceeded to "melt" to the floor. My son turned to us and said "tell me she doesn't look like a melted marshmallow on a s'more!" Needless to say as we were all introduced we were in hysterics. I still laugh when I think of that moment!!!
Do you have a funny memory of a wedding? If so I'd love to hear about it. Until next time, be safe and stop to enjoy life a little and while you're at it, be sure to visit the Pinque Peacock Store HERE where you can pick up these great stick pins as well as other amazing products.

Pinquette Mary here to share a little Hope and Faith and my first Virtual Baby Shower, lol. Yup, you heard that right: a virtual Baby Shower! How amazing is this technology? Anyways, I decided to use some amazing Pinque Peacock products to create this sorta slide card. Actually it is a tag with the Kraft envelope but hey, I created it so I can call it what I want, right? Let's take a look:

Hee, hee. Isn't he cute? I went through my stash and knew I had this baby crawling around somewhere! I know this is on one of my Cricut carts but for the life of me I can't remember which one, lol. If I had to guess I would say Baby Steps. I used some Fun Flock for his hair. Do you have any of this? If you do now is the time to pull it out. It is perfect for those Easter projects for bunnies as well as chicks. This blue felt popper is just what I needed for my pull out tag and it adds to the texture on this baby's tuft of hair. I love these kraft envelopes that Jessica sells in the store. I bet you are just dying to see the tag aren't you?

Since our theme this month was about Faith, I thought this saying was perfect since who doesn't have Faith when they see a new baby? Just so you don't turn on your head reading this here is what it says: "The world shines bright with endless possibilities each time a child is born." The Baby blocks are from Mini Monograms. I had made a lot of these from leftover scraps and keep them on hand for a quick card. (Yes, I have them in pink as well!). I also forgot that I have a lot of Rub Ons as well as vellum quotes so I thought it was time to pull those out as well. Jessica also has beautiful stick pins as well as fabric covered buttons in the Shop right on Facebook.
You can find these versatile envelopes HERE in the Store as well as these great felt poppers.
For all my friends down South be safe and heed the warnings. Ice is not fun! for my friends here in the North East- hunker down, it's going to be snowy!!! While you are stuck inside you can always checkout the rest of the details on this project over at my blog: http://Mary-fortheloveofart.blogspot.com

Baby Love Card

 Pinque Peacock

Happy Monday fellow crafters! Pinquette Mary here to show you some Love. That's right, this month the Design Team is showcasing Pinque Peacock products with the theme being Love. To me, love can be that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you are with someone special, smell the most delightful meal cooking or even remember a moment in time that left you feeling happy all over. For my project I decide to dress up some baby cards I had done a while ago using great products to embellish my cards and to kick them up a notch, lol. We have a few really special people who are expecting babies and they are choosing not to find out what they are having so I hope I have enough cards, lol. Let's take a look at them.
I used the Cricut cartridge Victorian Romance for this beautiful clown silhouette. I made this a while ago so I believe the size is 5.5".  It amazes me how I have grown creatively. I first made this card for a Design Team i was on and this is what I submitted. The theme may have been to use a silhouette however, today it looked so unfinished to me.

 This is the before.

      Here is the after:

This baby boy card has the scrumptious 3 Girl Jam crinkle ribbon and a simply wonderful fabric 3/4"covered button in green and white from Pinque Peacock Shop. It adds so much dimension to this card and really looks like a bouncing ball! I also added some Baby Blue stickles to the solid side of the clown costume to add a little bling and also to tie in the background color. It seemed to be a good choice because it also brings out the polka dots in the button. Love when that happens! I also added some rhinestones to a scalloped border strip I had in my stash. I am so pleased with the "dressed up" version.

This is the before girl card:

And here is the after:
For the girl card I added liquid pearls to her costume and a different type of 3/4" fabric button for her "ball". I also had a strip of embossed hearts left over from another project so I added this to the scalloped edging as well. I think it gives it a more polished looking card.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you will stop by the Pinque Peacock Shop HERE and grab some of these wonderful products and try them on your next project. Have a wonderful week and as always, stay safe.

Happy Thursday! Pinquette Mary here with a little project for you today. Ok, it's not really a "little" project. I have been really tied up with one of my daughters having shoulder surgery. Nurse Mary has been on duty 24/7 when what I was anxious to do was to make a project with my awesome DT packet of goodies from Jessica at the Pinque Peacock, lol.
Have you ever had a "vision" pop into your head when you just have to attempt it? Well, this was what happened with my project that I am going to show you today. Are you ready? Let's take a look....

This is an 8"x10" canvas board that I used for my base. I wanted it to look like a tree trunk with the heart carved into it.  First I started by painting my canvas board with brown paint then let it dry overnight.

I cut out a heart from contact paper with my Cricut. You can use any heart shape you choose from whatever cartridges you have. Next I used Rangers crackle paint in Picket Fence. I put it on quite heavy so I would get a bark look. I also wanted the heart to be smooth like a carving. You really don't have to be fussy since it all will be inked. You just want the crackle effect for bark.
I think I used every dark colored distress ink I had on hand: vintage photo, walnut stain, antique linen, scattered straw and even black soot. You just have to keep playing until you get the effect you are looking for. I did not take the heart off until all the tree was distressed. This made it so much easier to add depth to the heart and I could concentrate on its outline.
These metal letters are some I had hanging around and thought they were perfect for this project. I used some jewelry glue to adhere them as well as the lock and key.  The sentiment is computer generated and says: "Real love stories never have endings." I just tore the paper and burned the edges for a tattered look.
Lastly I stamped the stems and leaves with StazOn ink. One spot I missed when I stamped them so I decided to add a few rhinestones for dew drops! Of course I also needed an arrow so I used a grunge board piece and painted it with Black Soot.
How about these adorable flowers? Beautiful garden layered and swirl flowers from the Pinque Peacock. You can find these and so much more from the January Release we showcased @ this weekends Hop. Just be sure to check out the shop HERE .

Hope you have enjoyed my project and, if you would like more info, just head on over to my blog HERE . I will give you all the details on how I created this. Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!!!!

Pinquette Mary here to show you another twist on the Love theme this month. I hope you all had an enjoyable Holiday season. I don't know about you but I am always kind of sad to see the holiday season end.  We were thrilled to have my SIL visit during the holidays so that he could spend time with his wife before she has surgery. (He is in the Marines). Christmas Eve we received a package from Sherry's Berries and it was quite the guessing game to figure out who sent them! Well, it was from his parents as a gift for our family to enjoy. What a wonderful surprise!!!
So I thought I would send them back some "Love" in a thank you card and what better way then to use some PP products. Here's a look at the card:

Surprise, I did not use the color red! I did however, have this gorgeous fabric covered button and went with a nice blue color. They live in Michigan and love the earth so this seemed so appropriate to go with my button. The flower is one I had in my stash and it really showed off my button for the flower center.

My favorite of all the Pinque Peacock Products has to be these beautiful Angel stick pins.

I used some needle nose pliers and made a loop to add this Love charm I had. You will definitely want to visit the Pinque Peacock Shop and grab some of this 3 Girl Jam ribbon. It is so fabulous to work with!

Finally, Jessica asked us to use a quote to follow along with the Love theme this month. I thought this was appropriate to use since it convey's the love we have for this family. It says:
"True friends grow separately without growing apart".
Well, that's it for now and I hope you like my "take" on the love theme. Be sure that you have followed all the stops on the hop and left some blog love in order to win some awesome prizes.
