Sunshine Girl

Like I said, I've been procrastinating! This is such a fun layout and I have the perfect picture Granddaughter #1! Since she lives in Florida and I love to work with flowers it was a no brainer to use the Bird of Paradise from Life's A Beach. The colors are my favorites of all time, peach, salmon, off white and sage green. Luckily I have plenty of shells both from Shell Island in Fl and Marconi Beach on Cape Cod. I used vellum paper for the "birds" to give it a soft look. The sunshine girl is on chipboard then placed on a tag with chipboard and raised on pop dots. All this so it would raise above the sea shells. It was fun doing this layout especially with snow on the ground, makes me think of the tropics.

Mary...this is beautiful...I really love your take on the sketch..the cuts and embellies are gorgeous...what a great color scheme...I love it! Lovely subject as well...so happy you played along with us! I lived in New England for 10 years....my three oldest boys were all born in Manchester,NH. I really miss it in the fall...it's the most beautiful place...someday maybe I'll get to come back and drive the Kangamangas (sp) again to take in all the New England beauty.
