Good morning my lovelies, Pinquette Mary here with a card using the extremely beautiful Angel stick pin from Pinque Peacock. These happen to be a personal favorite of mine and I can always find a wonderful use for them. Today I used it to make a very special card for my grand daughter. Let's take a look shall we:
That's right Mia will be receiving her First Communion in a few weeks
and she loves purple. I also love the Inspired Heart cartridge for my Cricut when I look for anything religious. I cut this at 5 1/2" because I wanted to add some embellishments and details. The card base is 5"x10" so this was a perfect size to use.
The background cardstock is Mercury glass that I picked up @ Christmas but never had a chance to use. It really helps the girl stand out. For the veil I cut a tule circle in 1/8th to make it small enough for the girl. I gathered it up with some invisible thread so the stitching would not show. I also added a small piece of ribbon for the dress tie and finished with some stickles for the dress and sleeves.
I used some pearls to give her a sweet pearl necklace and a few rhinestones to her veil for some bling.
The flower is a mulberry one that I so I just added some glimmer spray to tie it in with the paper and also to show off my stick pin. I just happened to have this beautiful Angel with a
purple bead! Usually I also add some 3 Girl Jam ribbon on my cards but
this time I really wanted to have the stick pin show off as a focal
point.
I didn't want this to be too plain so I used a corner punch for the right hand top and bottom of the card and added some pearls to the Left corner for balance to off set the flower and stick pin.
The saying is a stamp I have had for a while and decided to layer it with a scrap piece of the mercury paper.
Whew! Sometimes a clean and simple card can be a little more time consuming than you think! I hope you will checkout the products at Pinque Peacock for they truly can make your project super special!
